Having been raised on a cattle farm here in Middle Tennessee and working with cattle his entire life, Trent had an extensive knowledge of the beef industry. After nearly 20 years of working with technology based companies and experience with other small business ventures, Trent was ready to leave the corporate world and get back to something he really loved and enjoyed.
Denise was born and raised in southern Michigan where local meat shops are a staple of the community. After several years in the insurance business, Denise decided in 2012 to follow her food passion and return to school to earn a degree in Nutrition.
With Trent’s knowledge of the beef industry and Denise’s love of all things food, a meat and seafood shop felt like the perfect fit.
In early 2018 this dream was made a reality with the purchase of Tag’z 5 Star Meats. Tag’z was introduced to the Murfreesboro community in 2000, which had been a dream of Mike and Trisha Taglio for close to 20 years. After nearly 18 years in business, the Taglio’s were ready to retire and the Malone’s were ready to try their hand at something they both loved.
